1 · The service
PCR Lab Pro is the reporting and release platform for molecular labs. It starts from the order manifest your LIS exports and the result file your instrument writes, and ends with a released, versioned, branded PDF report. The software enforces a sequence — QC before review, a call on every result before release, required letterhead fields before the PDF — and it records who did what and when.
The clinical judgments stay your lab’s. Whether QC passed, what a result is called, whether a report is approved and released — those decisions are made by your qualified personnel, and the service’s role is to hold the sequence and the record around them. You are responsible for using released reports in accordance with the laws and license conditions that apply to your lab.
2 · Your account
Keep your lab profile accurate — its contents print on clinical reports. Keep your credentials to yourself, use the roles and permissions in the product to control who in your lab can do what, and tell us promptly at support@pcrlabpro.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
3 · Billing
You are billed per released report. The plans: Pay as you go at $0 a month plus $9 a released report, with no monthly commitment. Growth at $49 a month plus $5 a released report. Unlimited at $199 a month with released reports included. A “report” for billing purposes is a released report — drafts, previews and demo activity are never billed, and an amendment to an already-released report is not a new report.
Your first report is free. Add a card whenever you like — you only need one to release the second. You can change plans or cancel anytime; a higher tier lowers the per-report rate. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT and sales tax, which are added at billing where they apply.
4 · Acceptable use
- Use the service only for lawful clinical and laboratory purposes.
- Upload only data your lab has the right to hold and process.
- Keep real patient data out of the demo lab — it exists so you never have to put PHI at risk to evaluate.
- Don’t probe, overload, or interfere with the service or other labs’ data.
- Don’t alter a released PDF outside the product and present it as the released report — corrections go through amendments, which version the document and leave a trail.
5 · Your data
Your lab’s data is yours. Every table exports to CSV whenever you like, released reports leave as branded PDFs, and the privacy policy covers how patient data is handled while it’s with us. We claim no ownership of your records, your templates, or your reports.
6 · Records and amendments
Released reports are versioned. An amendment creates version 2 with a typed reason, who amended it and when, and a supersedes line on the face of the document; the original stays on record as superseded. We do not edit your released records, and there is no override on the release gate — for anyone, including us.
7 · Compliance
HIPAA-compliant data handling. Supports CAP-accredited workflows. CLIA-ready reporting. What each claim means in the product is spelled out, in plain English, on the trust page. Accreditation and licensure belong to your lab; the service does not make your lab compliant by itself and claims nothing beyond the three phrases above.
8 · Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and to announce material changes to lab administrators by email before they land. Updates to the application do not delete saved draft orders.
9 · Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as available. To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for claims arising from the service is capped at the fees your lab paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Clinical responsibility for testing, results and released reports remains with your lab and its director — the software holds the sequence; it does not practice laboratory medicine.
10 · Termination
You can cancel anytime; export your records first — the CSV and PDF exits are open until the end. We may suspend an account that breaks section 4, and we’ll say why in writing.
